Rock Band Megamix will be free DLC for Xbox

A free "megamix" with songs from Rock Band 2 will be released as a promotion of some of the new artists on the Rock Band Network.

Rock Band Network enables any band to create Rock Band versions of their songs and sell them on the store.
"Twelve up-and-coming independent acts have joined forces to bring you this unprecedented sampler of what RBN has to offer," says the press release. "Edited by Scratching The Itch, this just may be the most epic track to appear in any music game!"

It's on the Rock Band Store right now for free and includes these songs:

Rose Of Jericho - "Buried Cold"
James William Roy - "Paper Valentines"
Glass Hammer - "Sleep On"
Robby Suavé - "Everyone I Know Is An Alcoholic"
Scratching The Itch - "End Of This"
You Shriek - "No Heroes"
Voodoo Pharmacology - "Minnesota"
Chrome Coma - "Bow Down"
Freen In Green - "Frontier Factory"
Paul Henry Smith & The Fauxharmonic Orchestra - "Night On Bald Mountain"
Counterfeit Pennies - "Five More Minutes"

And if you only like chart music then there is some of that too, this weeks additions are country tracks from Eric Church, Jamey Johnson and Lady Antebellum.
Apparently this takes the store up to 1,580 tracks.
