Bioshock 2 single-player expansion here 31st August

The final piece of the Bioshock 2 DLC has been confirmed by 2K, the first to offer a proper single-player story, will be released 31st August.

Minerva's Den will offer new weapons, a new enemy, and loads to explore, according to a preview on Joystiq.

The DLC runs alongside the main story by casting you as a Big Daddy, this time though you are Subject Sigma instead of Subject Delta. Nazi Bridget Tenenbaum stills aides you but this time there is a new bad guy called Reed Wahl, aswell as new enemies armed with lasers.

Other changes include more heavily-armed aswell as a Gravity Well plasmid that creates a portal.

The titular setting, home to a vast proto-computer called The Thinker, will be less linear than the main campaign, which will allow you more time to explore rather than having to follow the narrative.

This DLC will be 800 points from next week.
