Gears of War 3 - Carmine will live?

Epic has revealed that fans have been voting to keep Carmine alive in Gears of War 3.

Epic allowed fans to vote for the fate of Carmine by buying and wearing an avatar shirt from Marketplace determining whether he lives or dies, with profits going to Child's Play charity.

"After a fantastic debut at Comic-Con 2010 and tons of real shirts and Xbox LIVE avatar tees selling by the truckload, Save Carmine has the lead!" writes Epic. "That's right-if things continue as they are, a Carmine will actually survive a Gears of War title."

The voting continues until September 2nd and Epic points out the race is close, to entice more people into voting.

Anthony Carmine died in the original Gears of War when his sniper rifle jammed with brother Benjamin Carmine dying inside the giant worm in the sequel.
