L.A. Noire is reported to take 25 - 30 hours to complete.
A Rockstar Rep at PAX East apparently said that the game has 23 "assigned cases" but also has "unassigned cases", these are side missions that build on the "backstory of secondary characters"
There is said to be over 50 hours of dialogue in the game, so you can be sure great value for money.
