ME2 took Shepard voice-actor twice as long

Mark Meer has told RPG Site that it took him twice as long to record all of Commander Shepard's lines as it did for the original Mass Effect.
The reason? The increase in the amount of dialogue. "I spent most of last summer recording my ME2 dialogue," Meer explains. "It's HUGE. I'd estimate I spent at least twice as much time in the booth as I did for the first game."
He says that "Shepard's interactions with obsessive fan Conrad Verner and reporter Khalisah Al-Jilani are a lot of fun" when asked for this favourite moment. Conrad Verner returns in some capacity in Mass Effect 2, so it'll be interesting to see what role he plays and how your previous encounter with him will shape things...
