After what feels like upwards of twenty individual delays, Vice City Rage is finally available for download. While the mod doesn’t currently feature translated story missions from Vice City, it does include important aspects such as vehicles, weapons, original sounds and music, and side missions.

Rockstar's rendering of Manhattan in Grand Theft Auto III was awfully impressive, but technology marches ever onward. Nowadays, even our phones can handle it. So if you crave the mafioso story, but wish it looked prettier, GTA3 is getting a visual upgrade in the mod scene.

Yesterday, having announced its intention to go into administration last week, GAME Group officially went into administration, resulting in the immediate closure of 277 of the chain's 609 outlets in the UK and Ireland by Pricewaterhouse Coopers and the loss of 2,104 jobs.

Microsoft has announced Forza Horizon, a new racing game in the Forza series being handled by new UK developer Playground Games.
Playground Games is based in Leamington Spa and features the "core group" behind the Codemasters Racing Studio team that worked on establishing series including DiRT and GRID. The company was founded by ex-Codemasters executives Trevor Williams and Nick Wheelright in 2009 and currently has 106 staff.
Skyrim Update Coming for All Platforms

Patches are coming to fix reported bugs in Skyrim. Bethesda has confirmed that issues will be addressed for all systems, and that work is currently underway on the updates.
"We are continuing to work on an update for all platforms to address any bugs and [performance] issues we can," Bethesda VP of PR and Marketing Pete Hines tweeted.
Final Fantasy Producer Recognizes Action-RPG Trend

In an interview with Edge, Square Enix Producer Yoshinori Kitase recognizes the trend in RPGs moving away from classic turn-based systems.
"I think the nature of the franchise is to present something new each time," Kitase told Edge. "In the global market we see many players moving away from games that used turn-based systems toward what you might term an action-RPG. That's a trend, and you ignore things like that at your peril."

Modern Warfare 3 Faces Xbox 360 Disc Read Errors

Several users on the official Xbox forums are reporting disc read errors while attempting to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. According to an ongoing thread, users are encountering an "unable to read disc" error message when they try to start the game.
Some users have reported that the problem persists even after they replace the disc with a new copy. These reports are unverified for now, though the thread on Xbox.com is over twelve pages long as of this writing.

Ten years ago today on November 15 2001, Microsoft set foot on unfamiliar turf as it entered the console market. The console launched alongside titles such as Project Gotham Racing, Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee, Dead or Alive 3 and Jet Set Radio, but it was Halo: Combat Evolved that really stood out as the game to mark the arrival of the green and black behemoth. Fittingly, the Halo franchise also celebrates its tenth birthday today.
